Alice Swartz is a contemporary artist based in Omaha, Nebraska, who works primarily in acrylic and watercolor. Inspired by her cross-cultural background and family, she looks at the similarities across cultures as a study of human connection. Her works seek to juxtapose the resiliency of human community, and the barriers in socioeconomic perspectives of unity.

With a background in marketing and communication, she is motivated to translate communication trends and barriers she sees in the world to art, providing a new perspective on the themes we hear everyday, and promote discussion. She also paints a disproportionate number of bugs because they’re pretty.
