In this class we will focus on the bottle form. Students will learn how to wheel-throw and collar clay into graceful necks and constricted openings and then the trimming techniques necessary for forms that do not easily lend themselves to the basic trimming process.
The collaring techniques acquired from forming bottle necks are translatable to making teapot spouts and side handles. Students interested in a future teapot class will not want to miss this one.
All firings, glazes and 25 pounds of clay are included. PREREQUISITE: Students must be able to adequately center clay and form various pottery shapes and sizes on the wheel.
